Remake of El agente topo (2020)
Charles, a pensioner, gets a new lease on life when he answers a private detective’s ad and becomes a mole in a secret investigation at a nursing home. Based on the Chilean documentary “El Agente Topo”.
All the characters are extremely sweet and so relatable to a person in your life
Let’s be honest, I have to admit that at first glance I wasn’t really sure if the series would interest me even remotely, but somehow it hooked me. Before you know it, you’re so engrossed that you just have to know who did it!
My favorite quote from the show is, “Every great thing in your life feels like a miracle when you look back” Very poetic because it resonates with all of us
It’s also a gentle reminder that we’re all here trying to do the same thing, live and enjoy life, so we might as well do our best to get along and, most importantly, be nice to each other. I also have to admit that it was a bit strange to see Ted Danson in this role, especially when you’re used to him as the Cheers character “Sam.” But very early on, “Charles” tugs at your heartstrings and leaves no sad memories of “Sam.” A bittersweet yet tender reminder that Father Time has no favorites.
It’s a nice change of pace and you don’t feel guilty about watching yet another crime series
I hope you watch the film and recognize and understand the daily challenges that some in our society, in our lives, face on a daily basis.
